Vara Nalwa

Vara Nalwa are a people living in the South-East of Ur'Ava. They are the remnants of a people that fled the Great Cataclysm.

Vara Nalwan Curse

The Vara Nalwa remained in the Old World for longer than most of mankind. This resulted in a greater exposure to the effects of the Great Cataclysm, taking form of a curse.

The curse causes the altered appearance of the Vara Nalwa, who typically have pale skin, light or gray hair and silver eyes. As the curse progresses, they take on a more beastly appearance, with rugged hair, sharp teeth and nails forming into claws.

It is thought that the curse is the cause of the warlike nature of the Vara Nalwa. The land is never really free of conflict. And in some of the more fringe lands, cannibalism sometimes occurs.

Mercenaries

Due to the infertile land, the Vara Nalwa are mostly destitute. The other duchies in the Eldar empire often used Vara Nalwan mercenaries, who were eager to leave their impoverished homeland.
